GIF animations have long since ceased to be simple sets of drawings, having evolved to the point of admitting dynamic screenshots of your computer's Desktop, which can be created in that format by means of LICEcap.

The elements present in the Desktop are not the only ones that can be captured in the animated GIF, but also any other that is shown in any of the active windows, having the possibility of choosing yourself the dimensions covered in order to record only what you want.

The resulting GIF animation will be played back with the frames per second that you have previously defined. On the other hand, the recording does not have to be continuous, allowing you to stop it at any time and resume it when you consider it appropriate regardless of the content being captured: game start, real time communication, computer operations, etc.
